M is a minimal language. The goal is to figure out the minimum language needed for essential communcations.
If the vocubalary necesssary is small enough, it becomes easy for every person on the planet to learn and memorize the entire language.
This ease of learning, if in widespread use, would make it easier for people to travel freely and be able to carry out essential human activity without knowling the local languages.
S.O.S.
The first word agreed upon internationally for universal communication was S.O.S.
The original choice of S.O.S. was based on the International Morse Code dot-dot-dot dash-dash-dash dot-dot-dot keying pattern. Later there were attemtps to assign additional meaning, such as Save Our Ship and Save Our Souls.
The goal here is to extend from this humble beginning.
planned activity
The following are the planned activities intended as steps towards creating M:
Identify the smallest minimal words and phrases needed for essential international communications.
Catalog the sounds made by the human voice and pick out the ones that are most universal among speakers of as many languages as possible.
Use a program to create the short words possible by combining those sounds.
Assign the meanings to the words from the possible word list.
Teach everyone in the world.
